Terms & conditions of hire

Definitions

Lessor: us, Churchillsupercars.com or our agents.

Lessee: you, the hirer.

General

All prices quoted are in Pounds Sterling.

All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate.

Mileage

All prices include a certain number of miles per day. (see “prices”)

Excess mileage charges will be incurred if the car travels more than the agreed mileage for the rental period. An excess charge of £/excess mile is currently shown under ‘prices’ – this figure will be subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.

Additional mileage can be booked and paid for prior to the commencement of the hire at preferential rates – any such sum paid to increase the mileage allowance is not refundable in the event of the additional miles not being used.

Deposit

A credit card security/damage deposit is required on all hires, depending on vehicle type, of between £1500 and £5000. (see “prices”).

This can be paid by credit card and is refundable upon return of the vehicle in satisfactory condition. This security deposit is usually held as a pre-authorisation against a credit card for the duration of the hire so the credit limit of the card is effectively reduced for the period but the account is not actually debited unless damage to or loss of the vehicle occurs.

Any damage to the vehicle will be deducted from this deposit.

Age Limits

All drivers must be over 25 or 30 (see “prices” table) and under 70 years of age.

Driving Licences

Each person wishing to drive the vehicle must have held a full UK driving licence for at least two years.

To hire the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster, the driver must have held a full UK driving license for at least five years.

Some endorsements may not be accepted, please check when making your reservation.

Churchillsupercars.com will need to see the driving licence of all drivers before the hire commences.

Additional Drivers

All of our prices include insurance cover for two drivers. If you require more than two people to drive the car, the charge for each additional driver is £20.00 per day.

His/her licence must be seen before the hire commences.

NO OTHER PERSON MAY DRIVE THE VEHICLE.

Loss or Damage to Vehicle

Liability for each and every accident involving any damage to, or loss of the vehicle, and/or 3rd party vehicle during the rental period depends on the insurance excess for that vehicle (see “prices” table).

Early Termination

We do not hire the cars for less than 24 hours.

Churchillsupercars.com cannot offer a refund in the event of the hire being terminated early.

Late Termination

Vehicles returned later than the time stated on the rental agreement may be charged for an extra day.

If the hirer wishes to extend the rental, he/she must advise churchillsupercars.com at the earliest opportunity.

Failure to do this may result in the withdrawal of insurance cover.

IT IS ILLEGAL TO DRIVE WITHOUT INSURANCE COVER.

Availability of Vehicles

Every effort will be made to provide the vehicle chosen.

However, Churchillsupercars.com reserve the right to offer the nearest vehicle model as an alternative.

Pick-up/Delivery

Our cars are located in Oxfordshire and can be picked up from our premises.

Alternatively, we are able to deliver to most locations throughout the UK at extra cost.

Overseas Use

Vehicles must not leave mainland Britain without the lessor’s consent.

If permission is given to take the car abroad, an additional charge for insurance cover (“Green card”) may be applicable.

Traffic Violations

Churchillsupercars.com reserves the right to levy an administration charge of £75 + VAT for the processing of any traffic violations incurred during the hire period.

Any fines or vehicle-recovery charges will be payable be the lessee.

Petrol

The cost of petrol or diesel is not included in the hire charge.

Vehicles are supplied with an adequate amount of petrol and should be returned with a similar quantity.

Any petrol or diesel required to refill cars to this level will be charged at the forecourt rate but will also incur an administration charge of £30 + VAT on top of the cost of the fuel.

Payment

We accept all major credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Amex, and Visa Delta.

A £200 deposit will be taken at the time of booking in order to confirm the reservation (see “reservations” below).

The remainder of the rental charge and the security deposit must be paid before the rental commences.

Churchillsupercars.com will seek full payment 14 days prior to commencement of the hire.

Reservations

When making a booking, Churchillsupercars.com require a deposit of £200.

Cancellations

The booking fee of £200 is non-refundable.

If you cancel your booking more than 28 days prior to the date of the hire, you will forfeit only your booking fee of £200.

Cancellations within 28 days of the hire date but more than 14 days before the hire date will incur a charge of 25% of the hire charge + VAT. .

Cancellations within 14 days of the hire date but more than 48 hours before the hire date will incur a charge of 35% of the hire charge + VAT.

Cancellations less than 48 hours before the hire is due to take place will incur a charge of 50% of the hire charge + VAT.

Churchillsupercars.com reserve the right to vary the rates and conditions and to refuse and terminate any rental without giving prior reason or notice.
