Maserati GranTurismo Specification

The beating heart of the GranTurismo is a 4244cc 90° V8 engine. It is a power unit that forms part of the new stable of Maserati engines. Compact and light, with the cylinder block and heads in aluminium and silicon alloy, the engine boasts 32 valves actioned by twin overhead camshafts per cylinder bank with lowpressure variable phase intake cams.

The GranTurismo’s engine was created with one noble objective in mind: to guarantee the high peak power (95.4 bhp/litre) and speed of engine response typical of a competition unit to assure smooth acceleration and a quiet running. The result is immediately evident. As soon as the Maserati V8 comes to life, the driver can enjoy the sporty, pitch-perfect note.
